The Doctrine of The Christ

Whatever happens, we will believe the Bible, no opinion will matter.

What we believe

All of the following presupposes that the vast majority of Bibles in the world are trustworthy and that the Bible can be interpreted without adding anything, removing anything or altering anything. And that’s God’s responsibility.

These are the theologies we believe. The Father is God (John 14:10) and the Son is the Word (John 1:1, 1:14).

We believe in the Father. We believe in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. We believe that the Father dwells within the Son. We also believe that Jesus Christ is the Word. But in so doing, we accept that He is God along with the Father. (John 1:1, Hebrews 1:8, 1:6).

On Earth, Jesus Christ was the Word made flesh. He gave himself a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2:6). The Father dwelled in Him and worked through Him (John 4:24,1:14,14:10; Ephesians 4:5,6).

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

So obviously, the Father is who we want to reach by Christ.

Jesus’ sacrifice is the only way to life. That is because the only thing that removes sin completely is the shed blood of Jesus. To be reconciled to God means to have a relationship with him as our Father, God and Friend.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9,10 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Unlike some religions we believe you cannot change, remove, add or alter any Bible text. You have to live with them and try to reconcile them.

1 John 2:22 Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.

John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.

John 16:23,24 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

John 14:13 I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

The Divinity of the Son

1 Timothy 3:16 By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.

Mark 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

Jesus was on Earth, the Son of God. The Bible says he is God.

I am now confident that God has made the overwhelming majority of Bibles render Hebrews 1:8 correctly. But we need people to read that verse as it confirms the divinity of the Son.

Hebrews 1:8 But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;

A watermark of Bible truth

Cornelius tries to worship Peter

Acts 10:25,26 As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence. 26 But Peter made him get up. “Stand up,” he said, “I am only a man myself.”

John tries to worship an angel

Revelation 19:10 At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”

Note: when when people fell at the feet of Jesus he never objected to it. (John 11:32, Luke 8:47, Mark 7:25, Mark 5:22, Matthew 2:11, Luke 8:28)

John-1-1
